No, fully automatic is the default. If you'd rather check first, switch on review-before-publish in settings and every post is created as a draft in your queue instead, waiting for you.
The failure shows up in your dashboard with the exact reason and the fix, and stays there until it's resolved. If LinkedIn's connection expires, posting stops for your account until you reconnect. It never fails silently or retries quietly in the background.
